Nova Singers Presents: Out of the Ordinary
Nova Singers will kick off their 25th Anniversary with a special concert entitled “Out of the Ordinary: Nova Singers and Friends,” on Sunday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 1600-20th Street, Rock Island, Illinois. Current members of Nova Singers and alumni of the group will be performing everything from classical to blues to pop to Broadway to…yes, Comedy Sportz!
Audience members will be able to reminisce to cartoon favorites such as Al Jolson's " I Love to Sing-a,” 40's era "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Blue Moon" and "Blue Skies.” Broadway fans will enjoy Nova Singers performing musical theatre hits such as "Suddenly Seymour,” “Maria” and "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat.” You’ll hear gems by Bach and Andrew Lloyd Webber. The internationally acclaimed improvisational comedy troupe, Comedy Sportz, will also be featured. Emcees for the event will be Brian Nelson and Adam Lounsberry. Come, enjoy and help us celebrate 25 years of the outstanding Nova Singers tradition!
This one-time-only, special event is a fund-raiser that will support the Nova Singers’ 25th Anniversary Season. Tickets will be available at the door.
