"The Journey" begins April 10
United Methodist Church in Aledo is sponsoring a one-day women's retreat entitled "More Like Mary" on April 10.
"We have seen a need for more women to connect in worship," said Michelle Shahpari, director of worship for United Methodist Church.
The retreat is open to all women.
The keynote speaker for the event is Mary Ann Turner.
Turner is passionate about teaching the word and sharing the peace of Jesus Christ with women of all ages. Her career in Elementary education and her joy in motherhood have given her a passion to see the things of Christ through the eyes of a child. She is willing to share her failures and her joys always bring you back to the pure treasure of the Word of God.
