Apollo Elementary Honors 2nd Quarter Apollo Peace Prize Winners

We are excited to honor two students with the Apollo Peace Prize for the First Quarter. The Apollo Peace Prize, governed by the PBIS Team and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Aledo, has been created to award exceptionally respectful behavior at Apollo Elementary.

All Apollo students are taught to Respect Yourself, Respect Others, and Respect Property. Several students not only choose to behave respectfully, but also choose commendable behavior which makes them stand out as role models and peacemakers in their classrooms and beyond. Peacemakers not only follow the rules and expectations, but also courageously assist in finding solutions to promote respectful behavior. The Apollo Peace Prize is awarded to the student who has made outstanding choices to create a safe and peaceful community at Apollo Elementary.

The Apollo Peace Prize winner chosen from the nominations of students in grades K-2nd is Payton Brandon. Payton is a second grade student in Mrs. McGraw’s classroom. Mrs. McGraw nominated her because she will help anyone in need and always maintains a positive and friendly attitude. We thank Payton for being responsible and making many kind and helpful choices at Apollo.

The Apollo Peace Prize winner chosen from the nominations of students in grades 3-4 is Grayson Thomson, a fourth grade student in Mr. Rush’s class. Grayson was nominated by Mr. Nelson because he is very polite and respectful to everyone he meets. He is a good classmate to his peers, very honest and can be counted on to do the right thing. We thank Grayson for making helpful and thoughtful choices at Apollo.

Congratulations to Payton Brandon and Grayson Thomson for being peacemakers at Apollo! Your respectful, helpful behavior and caring attitude bring peace and joy to those around you.
