Free Elks Clinic for children offered

The Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program, in cooperation with Rock Island Elks Lodge #980 and Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Associates PC, will sponsor a FREE orthopedic assessment clinic for any child age 0 to 18 and is open to Illinois residents only and for children who do not have health insurance.

This clinic will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the offices of Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Associates PC – 520 Valley View Drive - Moline.

 Attendance at this clinic is by appointment. Appointments may be made by calling the Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program at 1-800-272-0074 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Elks have worked with children’s leg, arm, back and joint problems since 1928. In addition to sponsoring free clinics throughout Illinois, the Elks provide financial assistance with treatment programs, specialized equipment and other services for children whose families are unable to meet these needs.

 The Elks fund their efforts entirely through their lodges, individual members, and ladies organizations. They receive no government or public funds of any kind. There are no charges for diagnostic services provided at this clinic.
