Mercer County Hospital Offers Community Health Screenings

Mercer County Hospital is offering community health screenings at the hospital in October. The health screening consists of a Complete Health Profile which includes Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel and (CBC) Complete Automated Blood Count for $45. A Prostate Cancer Screen (PSA) test for $30 and a ColoCare kit (In-home test) for $5 are also available.  

Ruth Dulaney, Laboratory Manager commented, “The process to sign up for the health screening is simple. Anyone interested must call the hospital laboratory at 582-3727 to register. The lab technicians will take your information over the phone. A reminder postcard will be sent to the registered individual prior to their appointment. At the health screening you must sign a consent form, pay for the testing selected with cash or check, and have your blood drawn. The patient and their physician will receive a copy of the results.”

Ruth added,   “The health screenings are a great way to promote health and wellness by offering tests at a reduced price.  Our mission to provide compassionate quality care to our patients and we value the opportunity to provide laboratory services to the community.”

The health screenings will be held at the following locations:

Friday, Oct. 8 - 6 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. - Mercer County Hospital, Aledo

Friday, Oct. 15 - 6 a.m. -  9:30 a.m. - Mercer County Hospital, Aledo

Saturday, Oct. 16 - 6 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. - Mercer County Hospital, Aledo
