Community Supports Health Care at Golf Outing

Pastor Luke Dunn won a set of tires during the $100,000 Hole-In-One Contest.

Mercer Foundation for Health and Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) held its Seventh Annual Golf Outing on Friday, June 10th at Hawthorn Ridge Golf Course in Aledo. Twenty-three teams participated in the event and raised over $6,000 to invest in local health care.   Golfers played for the chance to win prizes on various holes which included Chicago Bear tickets, full set of tires, vacation packages, rounds of golf at local golf clubs, gift certificates to various local restaurants and a chance to win $100,000.

The top placing teams were: First place, Advanced Medical Transport; Second place, Midwest Bank; and Third place, Dennison Funeral Home.   Pastor Luke Dunn beat out four other contenders landing his shot closest to the pin during the $100,000 Hole-In-One contest to win a set of tires donated by Mer-Roc FS and SPOTS.

Mercer Foundation for Health wants to thank the sponsors, businesses and individuals who donated prizes, golfers, Hawthorn Ridge Golf Course, Matt Ewing, and volunteers who made this event a great success.  The support of the community enables the Foundation to continue its mission to help provide the best possible health care for people living in and around Mercer County.
