Do you have a long-term health condition such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, depression, cancer or other chronic disease? If so, then the "Healthy Living Program" is for you.

The Mercer County Health Department is proud to offer the "Healthy Living Program". The classes will be held at the Mercer County Health Department at 305 NW 7th St. in Aledo. This program will be held on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. starting on Nov. 15.

The Healthy Living workshop is a six-week self-management program held for two and a half hours each session. People with different long-term health conditions, as well as those who support them, can attend the workshop together.

Topics covered in the class include goal setting, developing great daily habits, stress management, and working together with your health care team. The workshop will give valuable information on topics such as self-management, medications, healthy eating, managing fatigue and pain, better breathing and problem solving. After attending this workshop, you will feel more prepared to cope with feelings of sadness, deal with pain and extreme tiredness, eat for better health, and relax and enjoy life.

The program is free, but space is limited. Please contact Jennifer Anderson at 309-582-3759 to reserve your spot in the workshop.
