Green Dragons beat Annawan-Wethersfield

The Green Dragons were in a fight for most of the first half but put Annawan-Wethersfield away in the third quarter to come away with a 42-14 victory, Saturday, Sept. 6.

Aledo got things going in the first quarter. Quarterback Brett Anderson's 57-yard run from scrimmage set up a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Colton Welch stopped the next Titan drive with an interception but the Titans quickly got the ball back after an Ethan Ball fumble.

Sean Walker scored on a 44-yard run to cut the Aledo-Westmer lead to 7-6 at the 6:57 mark in the first quarter.

Aledo answered immediately as Anderson completed a 61-yard touchdown pass to Matt Dawson at the 3:47 mark. Luke Boucher kicked the extra point to give Aledo a 14-6 lead.

The Titans answered in the second quarter as Walker's 39-yard pass to Matt DeDecker set up a five-yard touchdown run by Shayne Neubert. Walker's conversion pass to JD Draminski tied the score at 14-14 with 4:56 remaining in the second quarter.
