David and Linda Dutton hosted a reunion for the family of Virgil and Edith Higbee on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Warren/Henderson Farm Bureau Building in Monmouth. There were 44 family members, extended family, and guests from Illinois, Iowa, Arizona, Virginia and the Grand Cayman Islands. Following the potluck meal, those attending introduced themselves and told about their families. Happy birthday was sung to Frances Higbee of Galesburg, who was celebrating her 91st birthday.
Men and women’s clothing, used card fronts, and used postage stamps are needed by the Veteran’s Home in Quincy. They can be left at the Little Cedar Church.
