Marlys Donner is now in charge of Reynolds Senior Citizen dinner on Wednesday with Shirley Barnes and Caroline Toppert assistance. They invite any senior citizen to join them and enjoy cards and fellowship before the meal. Serving time is between 11:30-11:45 a.m. The cost is $2.25. Notify servers on Tuesday before the Wednesday lunch.

Thursday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. was the annual pork chop appreciation supper at the Hamlet Hall. It is sponsored by the DeKalb Seed Corn Co. It is usually outdoors but inside this year due to inclement weather.

Saturday, Sept. 6, Robert Peterson celebrated his 89th birthday with his family. Of the 23 family members, 21 were present. Todd Peterson called from Las Vegas to the party. There were nine great-grandchildren present.

Thursday, Sept. 4, Royce Pettit, Tempe, Ariz., came to visit his mother Mrs. Dorothy Pettit. He will stay about two weeks.

The weather has turned much cooler this week.

Donna Abrego sang "He Touched Me" for offertory music Sunday at the Reynolds Methodist Church. It was Promotion Sunday. Those with perfect attendance were Emily Williams, Amie and Nicole Kranz.

Third graders who received Bibles were Carson Hall, Jerod Davis, Noah Davis, Alex Williams, Taylor Massey, Max Bennett and Hannah House. Sunday School Teachers are: Pat Goodnight, Julie Bickle, Laura Davis, Jamie Belha, Pat Conway, Tim Parchert, Donna Abrego, Anita Sedam, Connie Widdop, Scott Hess, Dave House, Marlene Phillips and Carol Whan. A church picnic followed the service.

Monday, Sept. 8, the Susannah Circle met at the home of Cindy Flack.

There were seven members present. Lucille Elliott presided. Rosie Davis read the secretary's report. Beulah Venable presented the lesson.
