Shawn and Tonia Maloy, Galesburg, are the parents of a son, that was born on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center. He was named Walker Wayne Maloy. Grandparents are Tom and Connie Howerter, Alexis, and Tom and Sandy Maloy, Galesburg. A great-grandmother is Imogene Palmer, Galesburg.

United's annual FFA Hog Roast will be held Friday, Oct. 10, with serving from 5-7 p.m. in the all-purpose room at the South Campus (former Warren School). Carry-outs will be available at the South Campus and in Alexis, at the BB Café- 482-3414. Menu will include BBQ pork sandwiches, baked beans, chips, ice cream, cookies and beverages.

Bill Fox will celebrate his 80th birthday on Oct. 9. He is married to the former Mary Kay Stull. Their children are Theresa Allen, Deborah (Brian) Dillbeck, Rick (Tina) Fox, and Mike (Kelly) Fox, all of the Alexis area. There are 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dorothy (McKeauge) Kisler, Galesburg, died Sunday, Sept. 7, in Methodist Medical Center Peoria. She was a native of the Norwood community, later graduating from Alexis High School.
