Center Presbyterian Church & Sunbeam United Church are hosting SLIME FEST 2008--Fall Festival. Gobs of games, tons of treats and a life-changing message that'll last long after all that candy is gone will be a part of this. It will be held Oct. 12 at 4:30 p.m. at Center Church in Seaton. All children and family members are welcome. Please call the Church at 586-5581 to RSVP. Then the community weiner roast and old fashioned hay rack ride will follow at 6 p.m. in the Center Church yard for everyone. Please bring a dish to pass, a roasting stick and lawn chairs. Mike Anderson of Little York had a birthday on the Sept. 10. His mother, Audrey Anderson, formerly of Seaton had her birthday on the Sept. 9. Audrey and Gerry Anderson celebrated their 63rd anniversary on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

There was a group of about 12 friends that got together at Ed and Renea Anderson's house on Friday night to talk about planning the 40th reunion of the Westmer Class of 1969 for next year. On Saturday Renea and her sister, Rhonda Riley of Aledo and mother, Norma Morrison of Joy went to a family wedding in Conesville, Iowa. The Westmer Class of 1968 was having its 40th class reunion at Roger and Jodie Andress's house on Rt. 17. Several from the classes of 67, 69, 70 and others attended also. It was a lot of fun with Dennis Henderson providing the music.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, Renea and Ed Anderson were in Muscatine for their granddaughter Anna Sharar's fifth birthday party. Renea helped daughter Joni Sharar decorate the "Camp Rock" guitar cake for the "Camp Rock" theme birthday party. Renea went over earlier and Ed brought Great-Grandmother Norma Morrison of Joy in the afternoon. Toni and Mark Weeks of Aledo and their children Morgan, Matthew and Mason were there also. The boys had played Youth Program football against Muscatine at 1 p.m. and won 8-6. Their friend and teammate Dalton Murphy attended the party with them.
