The Rockridge Rocket’s football team played Farmington, Friday, Oct.3 at Farmington. Jake Flater made a touchdown run and Kyle Rettig had a two-point conversion. Score (54-8) was in favor of Farmington.

The Rockridge girls volleyball team defeated Knoxville girls Thursday, Oct. 2 at Knoxville.

Jennifer Hessman Randazzo has been promoted from associate to senior associate at McGladrey and Pullen LLP.

Pearl Gordon broke her hip Thursday, Oct. 2 at home. She went by ambulance to Trinity West Hospital.

Tanner Martin, son of Susan Martin, broke his leg.

Sarah Brooke, Edwardsville, came to spend Oct. 4 weekend a home. She is a grad student at Southern Illinois University.

Rockridge Rockets girls volleyball team earned fourth place finish in the I.M.S.A. Tournament in Aurora. Chelsey Widdop, Hillary Johnson and Haley Kitchell were the leading players.

Rockridge girls defeated Morrison in girls volleyball Oct. 6, Monday. They split the first two games but Rockridge won the final game. The game was played at Rockridge.

Pam Bischoff has coached 25 years as Rockridge High School’s head coach. Quote, “I’ve always, always, remembered it’s just a game, and to keep the emphasis on fun.” Last Saturday, at the Tournament, in Aurora, Pam Bischoff and her current group of girls earned her 400th career victory in their first pool play match.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Hampton and family helped their daughter, Joyce Spengler, Boynton Beach, Fla., celebrated her 60th birthday, Sunday, Oct. 5. The family flew to Fla.

Kaitlin Hoffman, daughter of Barbara and Ken Hoffman celebrated her 14th birthday, Saturday night, Oct. 4. Her family and friends enjoyed a wiener roast at her home.

Mrs. Tracy Doonan and Mrs. Jane Cumby attended a wedding in Milwaukee, Wisc., on Saturday, Oct. 4 and returned home on Sunday.

Frank Venable was honored on his birthday, Thursday, Oct. 2. His mother, Beulah Venable hosted the party. Susan Blaser and his wife, Sandra Venable brought refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Blazer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Venable, and Chelsey Oak attended.

Sunday, Oct. 5 was World Communion Sunday. All over the world we observe communion on the same day.

Reynolds is observing Halloween on Friday, Oct. 31 5-7 p.m. for trick or treaters.

The Reynolds American Legion and Auxiliary Halloween party will be at the legion at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26.
