Last Sunday, Oct. 12, the basement of the Center Presbyterian Church was transformed into a dark, eerie, scary cave with several rooms of scary or icky things to do. It was the Slime Fest 2008—Fall Festival! Starting at 4:30 p.m. there were lots of games, tons of treats and a life-changing message for all of the children who had lots of fun. This was sponsored by the Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church and Seaton Center Presbyterian Church. The adult volunteers had as much fun as the children. Pastor Gordon Page said, Cyndee Stockham and daughter Victoria worked on Saturday and some on Sunday transforming the basement area. After the Slimefest, the community wiener roast and old-fashioned hay rack ride followed at 6 p.m. in the Center Church yard for everyone. The weather was great for the event.

The Seaton Public Library should be closed just another week or two. Cleaning of the walls has to be completed. Hours for the library are 10 a.m. until noon on Saturdays and 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
