Mr. and Mrs. Art Hilliard of Roscoe spent Thursday and Friday this past week with Maxine Stoutt.

Last Tuesday noon, Oct. 21 Shirley Darrah entertained at lunch two of her cousins, Betty Woods of Wisconsin and Finlay Downs of Ohio. On Sunday Bob and Shirley Darrah attended a Down's reunion held at the Senior Center in Kirkwood.

Saturday evening Bob and Shirley Darrah attended a Burgland reunion held at the home of Beulah Burgland of Kirkwood.

Lyle and Kathleen Worthington traveled to Rochelle to attend Grandparents Day at the schools for the children of Brian Worthington. They also got to visit with their small grandson Wyatt. They returned home on Saturday.

Saturday, Oct 28, Carol Bowman and Elizabeth Waugh attended the Delta Kappa Gama Alpha Rho chapter meeting at the old Knoxville County Courthouse in Knoxville. During the business meeting Elizabeth was pleasantly surprised when they honored her by dedicating the year book to her for 2008-2009 year. Four years ago she was honored as a fifty-year member. Following the business meeting the speaker of the day was Jonathan Tapper who told of his experiences as the butler for Jackie Onasis Kennedy's mother. She was quite a lady!

Delta Kappa Gamma is an honorary society of hey women teachers. Alpha Rho chapter includes key women teachers in Knox, Warren and Henderson counties.

Don, Marilyn, Barbara and Bob Perrin spend Saturday evening visiting their brother, Raymond at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Galesburg.

Marjorie Smith accompanied Kathy and Dave Erlandson to the Saturday evening wedding of John Amus and Emily Curtis at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in Rock Island.

Irvin Galusha spent from Thursday until Sunday visiting Shirley Smith in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Don't forget the Sugar Tree Grove Church soup luncheon on Nov. 2!

Thank you to the Ecumenical Singers for leading our worship Sunday morning at Little Cedar U. P. Church.

World Community Day is Nov. 7, at noon at Faith Church. Reservations are due Nov. 3, the meal is $6.50.
