Ben McAdams, 80, decided to take on a new educational challenge Wednesday night, Dec. 10, 2008, after a 4-3 vote by the newly created consolidated school district #404 board who agreed to hire him as interim superintendent.

In a telephone interview this afternoon McAdams announced he was not going to take the job. “I’ve just got too much going on at home,” he said.

He said he had already informed CUSD # 404 board president Dwight Shoemaker about his decision.

The next board meeting is at the Westmer Secondary library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17.
