Thursday, Nov. 27, Merle and Virginia Moffitt spent Thanksgiving with Ray Moffitt in Chicago.

Saturday, Nov. 29, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Moffitt entertained their family for Thanksgiving dinner. Duane and Brenda Moffitt, Illinois City, Andrea, Jason, and Alex Baraks, Moline, Bob, Sarah and Patrick Brooks, Sarah, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Patrick, Bradley University, Peoria, Jeff Moffitt and family and Justin Moffitt, Milan.

Tuesday, Dec. 9, Rockridge girls' basketball team defeated Orion 51-46 at Rockridge. Hilary Johnson, Lexi Frakes, Haley Kitchell and Chelsey Widdop were high scorers and played well.

Dorothy Pettit was moved from Mercer County Hospital, Extended Care to Mercer County Nursing Home - due to the hospital's reconstruction plans.

Rockridge boys' basketball team defeated Westmer High 56-48 Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Rockridge.

Blackhawk State Bank held its 19th annual Christmas Coffee at Stoney Creek Inn, Moline, Wednesday, Dec. 3. The morning party was 9 - 11 a.m. The afternoon party was 1-3 p.m. Entertainment, door prizes and refreshments were enjoyed.

Sixteen members of the Reynolds Voluneer Fire Dept. met Monday, Dec. 1 at the Fire Station.

Monday, Dec. 8, the Reynolds Village Board met at the Municipal Building. The Edgington Township Board met at the Edgington Township Building.

Hannah McManus, junior at Rockridge High School, is a Class A Sectional qualifier for 2008 girls' golf. She medalled at the regional meet. She was named 'team's most valuable player.' Honorable mention for Rockridge was Tia Fuhr.

Jonathon Oak bought the Larene Bell property Saturday, Dec. 6.

Sunday, Dec. 7, Reynolds United Methodist Church presented the Children's Christmas Program, "Hark the Angel sung off Key." Lauren Hoffman presented the musical selections as part of the program. The director was Tami Parchert and Mary Knox was pianist. Refreshments followed the program.

Mr. and Mrs. Mel Blaser journeyed to Iowa City to help Tyson  Blaser celebrate his birthday Sunday, Dec. 7.

All scholarship winners and donors were honored at a dinner on Sunday, Dec. 7 at the University of Iowa. Tyson Blaser was among them.
