Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Mike Anderson on the death of his father, Gerald Anderson, who passed away in Galesburg.

Shirley and Robert Darrah with their son and family. Jerry, Kris daughters, Katie and Emily drove to Dubuque, Iowa on Christmas Day to spend it with their older son John and Olivia and their family.

Maxine Stoutt had her Christmas dinner on Sunday. Present were Melinda and Brian Clark with Miranda and Jared of Rosetta, Brad, David, Noah, Sky, Kylie, Izic Stoutt and Megan Day of Rock Island.

Bob Perrin joined his brothers and sisters to visit with their brother Raymond in the Rosewood Nursing Home in Galesburg on Christmas Day.

Helen Jane Nicol held her annual Christmas breakfast with her daughter and husband, Mary Ann and John McCann of Oneida and eight of her grandchildren. Then Helen Jane went to Oneida to visit for a couple of days.

Suzie Simpson entertained at supper on Christmas Eve Jim, Jane Keaton and Morgan Simpson, Mike and Josie Lair with their three daughters of Alexis, Jessie and Jane Simpson and three children from Wataga.

The Clyde Campbell family gathered at the home of their son Russ and Shari on Saturday evening. Present were Barbara and Steve Determan, daughter Courtney of Early, Iowa, son Andy of Kansas City, son Dan of Chicago, Brystal and Matt Jungman with sons Luke and Jack of Aledo, Greg and Sue Campbell, Scott and Lisa Thomas, Jim and Gladys Free, and Marilyn Johnson of Monmouth.

On Sunday evening Greg and Sue Campbell entertained at supper Clyde and Helen Campbell, Scott and Lisa Thomas, Crystal and Matt Jungman with sons Luke and Jack of Aledo, Barbara Conn of Monmouth, Shane Van-Fleet with Paige and Camryn of Dallas City.

Katie and Clint Banks and daughter Whitney of Pampa, Texas spent several days with Katie’s grandmother, Marjorie Smith. Then on Friday Marjorie entertained the rest of her family, Kathy and Dave Erlandson with daughters Anne and Kelly of Chicago, Kerry and Mary Smith of Sherrard, Kennie and Rod Hatch with Syndey and Aizik of Edwards, John and Lesley with sons Tyler and Josh of Farmington.

David and Linda Dutton celebrated Christmas with their family on Monday evening, Dec. 22. Those attending included Matt and Kristen Dutton, D.J. and Jake; Krystal and  Nick Carlson, all of Alexis; Lindsey and Kayla Bennett and Jayla of Galesburg; Jim and Missy Bennett, Gracie, Jamie, Hannah, Daniel, Mary, Mercy and Samuel of Rosetta.

Christmas Day, David and Linda Dutton visited their son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Kristin, to watch D.J. and Jake open packages and also enjoyed a delicious brunch. Later in the morning, Matt’s family left for Rockford to spend a few days with Kristin’s family.

Sunday, Dec. 28, David and Linda hosted the ‘Hall’ Christmas at the Little Cedar Church. Thirty six family members and friends attended, including Tom and Karen Halol, Sara and Andy Varner and family, Eric and Lisa Hall and sons, Andy, Danny and Ryan Hall; Missy Bennett, Gracie, Jamie, Hannah, Daniel, Mary and Samual; Matt and Kristin Dutton and sons; Janet Hall and Scott and Kalli Hall and family. Also attending were Stacey Valentine, Pat Williams and Duane Howard.

On Christmas morning Zach Hull of Monmouth, Maggie, Nate and Jalyn Wallace of Galesburg had breakfast with Diane, Jeff, Florence and Howard Carver.

Mary and Don Bertelsen hosted the Bertelsen family Christmas get-together with 20 to 30 members present to enjoy each others’ company.

There will be no LOGOS or women’s Bible study this week.

Session of Little Cedar will meet Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. at Valentin’s.

Elder training at College Avenue is Jan. 17.
