Sunday worship services at Seaton Center Presbyterian Church will start at 9 a.m.  for January through April.  The children's afterschool program "God Rocks" will resume meeting on January 28th.

The Jan. 13 Abington township caucus for the April 7 consolidated election will start at 6 p.m. at the Seaton Community for the Democrats and at the Seaton Fire Station for the Republicans. The positions to be nominated for and voted on are Assessor, Road Commissioner, and Township Board Trustees. The Village of Seaton caucus will be Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. for the positions of Village President, Village Clerk and two Village Board trustees.

The Seaton Library is open to the public on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until noon. There are several new books for all ages to check out including: "Marly and Me" by John Grogan, "Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, "The King of Tarts" by John Grisham, and author Stephanine Meyer's two new books in her series, "Twilight" and "New Moon."

Harvey and Janet and all of their family attended a 60th wedding anniversary family dinner for Harvey's parents, Paul and Veneta Dekeyrel of Illinois City. All gathered at the home of the honored couple's daughter, Amy Robinson for the celebration.
