Birthdays to mention this week include Bill and Amy Duncan’s son, Cael William Duncan whose 4th birthday was January 12th. Little Cael’s great-grandmother, Ida Duncan, now of Aledo celebrated her 94th birthday on the 21st of December. Ed Anderson whose birthday was January 18th celebrated with a pizza supper on Sunday night, Jan. 18th at their house with daughters Toni Weeks and Joni Sharar and their families joined them. Toni and Mark are from rural Aledo and their children, Morgan, Matthew and Mason and Joni and Andy are from Muscatine with their children Anna and Nathan.
Dave and Carrie Clawson hosted a wine-tasting party at their house on Saturday night for several friends. Renea Anderson went to Springfield on Saturday with her brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Chris Morrison and their mother Norma Morrison. Norma stayed a few days with her sister-in-law in Bluffs. Her brother Glen Clevenger was a patient at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Yes, The Seaton Public Library is open! Come check out the new books by Stephenie Myers from the Twilight Series- “Twilight”, “New Moon” and “Eclipse”. There is also Patricia Cornwell’s new, “Scarpetta” and author Anne Rice’s “Called Out of Darkness” just to name a few. Hours for the library are Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Saturday’s from 10 a.m. - noon. The Library could extend their hours if they had some volunteers from the community.
Greer’s Back Home Café has reopened after their holiday break to serve their customers Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Fiesta Night on Wednesdays.
