As usual, the Seaton Firemen served a delicious breakfast on Saturday morning, March 21, for their annual pancake day. This is their biggest fund-raiser of the year and it was a beautiful spring day.

Coming up on Saturday, April 11, there will be the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Seaton Community Center. Starting at 3 p.m., there will be three age groups for the children to hunt eggs and one prize egg per group. Each family is asked to bring a dozen cookies to share. Beverages will be provided. There will also be teen and adult door prizes.

Ganesh and Denise Ganpat and sons, Grant and Blake, of Ankeny, Iowa, were weekend guests at the Dave Duncan family farm. Thursday evening Sam and Kelly Fisk and sons, Quentin and Beaudry of Galesburg plus Bill and Amy Duncan, Trenton and Cael joined them for dinner. The Ganpat's also visited their grandmother and great-grandmother, Ida Duncan of Aledo, Friday and Sunday.

On Saturday, March 21, Ed and Renea Anderson were in Muscatine for a birthday party of their youngest grandson, Nathan Sharar. Renea went over earlier to help with the four-year-old's fire engine birthday cake and party preparations. Ed came over in the afternoon with Norma Morrison of Joy, Nathan's great-grandmother. Mark and Toni Weeks of Aledo and their children, Morgan, Matthew and Mason came over after the boys wrestled at the 31st Annual Bear Country Tournament in Aledo. Nathan is the son of Andy and Joni Sharar and has a sister Anna who is five and a half.
