Dale and Dorothy Armstrong returned from Mercedes, Texas Thursday, March 27.

Rockridge High School competitive cheerleading team placed in the top 10 Friday allowing them to advance to Saturday competition in U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington. All teams performed Friday night. 10 teams were selected for Saturday. Two seniors were four-year competitive cheerleaders, having experience really helped. Joey Stanforth is their coach. Rockridge laced sixth on Saturday.

Sarah Brooks, Edwardsville, Bob Brooks, Merle and Virginia Moffitt, Milan and Duane and Brenda  Moffitt, Illinois City, attended the senior trumpet recital of Patrick Brooks Saturday at Bradley University in Peoria.

Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge held their pancake sausage breakfast Saturday, march 29 at 6:30- 10 a.m. at the Buffalo Prairie Hall. It was well attended.

Betty Blaser was honored at Trinity Methodist Church, Sunday, March 29 for her 80th birthday anniversary. Her family sponsored the event. The hours were 3-5 p.m.

Rockridge senior Haley Kitchell was named honorable mention academic all-state for the 2008-09 school year. Nominees must have 3.5 grade point average, participate in two or more I.H.S.A. sponsored activities in the last two years and demonstrate outstanding citizenship.

Rockridge placed third in Class 1A Illinois Prep Indoor Meet in Bloomington, Saturday in 4x400 relays- Chelsey Widdop, Emily Watkins, Lexi Frakes, Hillary Johnson are members of the squad.
