Sherrard girls' softball team gave Rockridge girls' team a setback Tuesday, April 14, at Rockridge 12-1. Thursday, April 16 will be a rematch at Sherrard. Becky Ince is Sherrard coach and Tracy Logue, Rockridge's.

Seniors making third quarter high honors at Rockridge- Amanda Curry, Haley Kitchell, Hillary Johnson, Chelsey Widdop. Juniors high honors- Morgan Dykes, Hannah Oak, Mikaela Simmons, Jennifer Krueger and Dalinda Widdop. Clifford Bolt, Dylan Rowe and Blake Sedam made junior honor roll. Sophomore high honors Cleina Ruth, Michael Sederquist and Traci Tate, Freshmen high honors- Jamie Mueller, freshmen high honors, Jamie Mueller, Stephanie Schultz and Emily Watkins.

Elijah Simmons and Allyson Martens made freshmen honor roll. Congratulations.

Sherrard boys' baseball team and Rockridge Rockets played Thursday April 16 at Modern Woodmen Park. This is the first time these teams have played there. Sherrard won 6-3. Each team had the experience of playing on professional soil.

Rockridge Rockets won the ladies' track Invite at Rockridge. Thursday, April 16 Chelsey Widdop got gold in high jump, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Haley Kitchell won gold in 4x200  and 200-meter dash. Annawan Wethersfield won second.

Ashely Widdop was awarded Bachelor of Art degree this fall at Monmouth College.

Due to the car accident of Pastor Beth, Darren Hall has preached the sermon at Reynolds Methodist Church the last two Sundays. We appreciate his efforts as we can have services. We pray for Pastor Beth's speedy recovery.

Family and friends gathered at the Reynolds Legion Sunday, April 19 to celebrate the retirement of "Adolf" Steve Mueller after 35 1/2 years with the power company. Those from out of town included nephew, Mike Pearson,  Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gary and Dianne Peterson, Dixon, sister-in-law Lynda (and Larry) Ambrose, Oxford, Iowa, Jacki Mueller Tracy and family, Bloomington. Thank you to Cindy and Gloria for the excellent food and all who helped serve it.

Also to his daughters, Julie, Jeanne, Jacki and Jeri for hosting it.

Sandra Venable celebrated her birthday at the Red Lobster restaurant. Frank Venable, Chelsy Oak, Mr and Mrs. Wendell Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Oak, Jonathon and Stephanie Travis Norris, Kyle Kaiser, Brittany and Faith Dykes were guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Doonan and Jane Cumby spent the weekend with Keylly and Al Biala and baby Enzo, Chad Cumby in Chicago, Ryan Doonan visited with them from London, England. They returned late Sunday.
