News from Seaton
If the rain ever stops, there are going to be softball games played at the Seaton ball diamond.
During the Seaton Village Board meeting on May 18, 2009: Clerk Chism took care of swearing in the new President Bud Walthall and board members Carrie Clawson and Ed Tarr. Cyndee Stockham was absent. New Board President Walthall appointed Vicki Chism as his clerk and Kathy Brock again as the village treasurer. These two will be sworn in at the June meeting. There was error in reporting Kathy Brock's name as village treasurer.
Ida Steepleton attended a graduation party for her great nephew, Ethan Gordon a couple of weeks ago. Ethan is the son of Jeff and Mindy Gordon and will be attending St. Ambrose on a bowling scholarship.
Anniversaries celebrated in June include Bill and Edwina Wright's 48th on June 11 and Skip and Wendy Bush's 19th on the June 3. Jason and Ronda (Gray) Glidden celebrated their first anniversary on May 31. Butch Greer celebrated his birthday this week also.
Virginia Greer's family was in the Seaton Park on Mother's Day for a cookout/potluck. Her grandson, Larry Greer, brought his cooker and fried fish for the family also. Grandson Bill McCaw got the event organized.
