News From Reynolds
Chelsey Widdop, Rockridge senior, finished ninth in the 300 hurdles at the Class 1A state meet. Honorable mention was earned by Haley Kitchell, Chelsea McManus, Darcee Parchert, Tia Fuhr, Lexi Frakes and Emily Watkins. These girls were awarded All Stars in the 2009 girls area track and field recognition of the year.
Jeanne Schnier of Aledo attended her grandson's Nathan Lamb's graduation with high honors Saturday, May 16, at University of Iowa. His parents are Pat and Tracy Lamb of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has been accepted into the school of dentistry at the University of Iowa.
Sunday, June 7, was graduation at Reynolds United Methodist Church. Jennifer Randazzo was in charge of this part of the service for college graduates. Tucker Blaser graduated John Marshall School of Law, Chicago. Sarah Brook graduated Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. She received her master’s degree in school of psychology. Amber Kiddoo St. Xavier University with a master of arts in teaching and leadership program. Amanda VanDaele graduated Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, bachelor of science in accountancy degree. She will return to Northern to pursue her masters in accounting science. Ashley Widdop graduated from Monmouth College and will be attending St. Ambrose University to pursue a Dr. of Physical Therapy Degree. Melissa Williams graduated from Black Hawk College with a nursing degree.
Rockridge High School graduate Shannon Hall will attend Black Hawk College studying to be a nurse. Haley Kitchell Illinois University studying business. Chelsey Widdop attends Monmouth College majoring in accounting and math.
Junior high graduates Ashley Buckle, Rockridge; Kaitlin Hoffman, Sherrard; Justin House, Rockridge; Kourtney Kiddoo and Rockridge Annie Kranz, Rockridge.
Following church service refreshments were served.
Tami Parchert was a guest of honor at a bridal shower Sunday, June 7. It was hosted by the education department of the church.
The Susannah Circle met Monday, June 8, with Helen Peterson. There were eight members present and Lucille Elliott conducted the meeting. Cindy Mack presented the lesson. The Reynolds Methodist Church has been newly painted by the Scott Decorating Co.
Bible School in the Reynolds Methodist Church will be June 15-19, 9-11:30 a.m. Anita Sedam is in charge.
