Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hale of Arizona, Marilyn Johnson of Monmouth and Helen and Clyde Campbell were Wednesday guests of Gladys and Jim Free.

Last Tuesday Suzie Simpson accompanied Lewis and Elanore Lloyd of Aledo to visit their sister-in-law Dorothy Lloyd at Carrington Place in Muscatine, Iowa.

Evelyn Neal spent Sunday with her sister Florence Seaman in Gladstone.

Bob Perrin spent the past weekend with his son and wife, Joel and Jona Perrin of Lindenwood. During the weekend they attended a ball game in Rockford and toured Navy Pier in Chicago.

Shiley and Bob Darrah were supper guests on Thursday evening of Colleen Dixon at Oak Run. They were celebrating their granddaughter Katy's 18th birthday. Katy's parents Jerry and Kris with younger daughter Emily and several of Katy's friends were also helping her celebrate.

Mary Ann and John McCann of Oneida spent Sunday with her mother, Helen Jane Nicole.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Bertelsen had Sunday dinner with Don's niece Kathy Keever of Annapolis, M.D., who is visiting her mother in Monmouth.

Bob Darrah spent the past weekend in Kansas City, Mo. attending a gun show.

Suzie Simpson and her son Jim and his family attending the Lloyd family reunion on Sunday, held at the David Lodge in the Aledo park.

There will be no adult Sunday School in August at the Little Cedar Church.

The youth group from Little Cedar will be attending "Rock the River" on August 8.

It now costs more to amuse a child than it once did to educate his father.
