Sunday, Aug. 2, the Olaf Pearson 100th reunion was held at the Reynolds American Legion building. There were 103 people in attendance. The youngest was Avak Robinson, 1 year, son of Matt and Jenny Robinson. Mildred Griffith, Moline was the oldest present. New York, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, Missouri and Florida had representatives. Jenna McAdams presented a program about the family tree- genealogy of the Olaf Pearson family, which she had researched.

Graydon and Marilyn Kranz and families vacationed at Cass Lake near Bemidji, Minn. for two weeks. Fishing was good.

Eight members were present for the Susannah Circle, which met Monday, Aug. 10. Lucille Elliott, president, conducted the meeting. Carol Whan presented the lesson. Rosie Davis was hostess.

Dale Armstrong had surgery in Iowa City on Wednesday, Aug. 5. He returned to Heartland Nursing Home, Moline for recovery.

Francis and Donna Mack visited LaVerne and Janice Schmitt, Cresco, Iowa, over the weekend returning, Tuesday Aug. 11. They are friends from their winter in Texas.

Mel and Susan Blaser, and Beulah Venable attended the Madison Mallards’ baseball game Sunday, Aug. 9, to watch Tyson Blaser play. The home parents of each ballplayer were introduced. Each player was provided with a family for the season.

Alicia Moran, sister of Rosemary Curry, Lori Cherne, Emily Elanna, Ethan Cherne, relative of Rosemary, Minneapolis, Minn., visited this weekend. They celebrated Eric Curry’s birthday. On Aug. 20 Eric will enroll at Northern Illinois University, Dekalb. He has completed two years at Blackhawk College.

Sharon Wintry returned to Florida Monday, Aug. 10, after visiting with her mother, Dorothy Armstrong.
