Sara and Gary Krueger have been on a fishing vacation in Chetak, Wis. The weather was great, fishing was good and good visiting with Krueger relatives that were at the resort as well.

Tate and Mary Vroman returned home from Yellville, Ark. Tate’s two sisters live in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Riley Vroman from Andalusia also visited the week. The group enjoyed cookouts and visiting. Yellville is close to the Mountain Home, Ark. area.

Laura McGinnis entertained a brunch on Saturday for Judy Parkinson of Sutter Creek, Calif. Judy grew up on Schrader Lane in Eliza. Her parents, Everett and Dolly Parkinson grew tomatoes for Heinz back then. Those attending were Karen Svoboda Robinson, Rhonda Morrison Riley, Diana Rader, Gloria Nelson and Karen Zimmerman Russell.

Fred and Janet Bryant enjoyed a few days at the Fort Madison Rodeo. A great event!

Kidz Club at the Church starts soon - put Oct. 21st on your calendar, it’s a fun time after school for elementary age kids and supper is served before they go home at 5:15 p.m. All kids of Illinois City are invited.

Trivia Night is coming up at the Hall sponsored by the Illinois City Fire Department. It will be Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. All groups should be there at 6:30 p.m. For more information call Rikki at 781-7770.
