The Cub Scouts in Illinois City are a very active group!

In October several boys camped out at the Loud Thunder Boy Scout Camp with several hundred other scouts and leaders. The boys that braved the 37 degree temperature on Friday night and 35 degree temperature on Saturday night earned the Polar Bear Patch.

The boys also helped with Day of Acts — a church project to help elderly to prepare for winter. They also weeded the gardens at Illinois City Grade School. For more information call Rhonda Otting- Bear Scout; Brenda Moffit- Boy Scout; Juli Humiston- Wolf Den leader; Laura Petreikis- Webello #2, Laurie Carpenter and Tamy Gorham are Webello #1 and Tiger Den. It’s never too late to join!
