(Nov. 2, 2009) The folks in charge of the Halloween supper in Little York would like to thank the community for their participation. The money will be put to a good use for the children's enjoyment.

Karen Bulka of Las Vegas, Nevada spent the weekend with her sister Carol Brownlee.

Debra Darrah and her mother Elizabeth Orterry attended a baby shower for Kaili Meiser at the Americinn in Monmouth.

Helen Jane Nicol joined her granddaughter Lindsay and great-granddaughter Peighton Higgerson of Rio for lunch at the Livermore in Aledo on Saturday.

Willa and Bill Jefferson of Denver, Colo. visited the Lyle Worthington family last week. Willa and Kathleen are sisters.

Everyone who graduated from Little York High School is invited to the 2010 reunion. Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 12 noon at the Monmouth American Legion. We thank the committee for getting the information to us this soon.

The Little Cedar Church still has cookbooks for sale and they make dandy Christmas gifts, (easy to wrap).

Food and paper products for Starting Point's food pantry will continue to be collected.

God gave us burdens- also shoulders and friends.
