Marjorie Smith attended a birthday party for her great-granddaughter Sydnie, daughter of Jenny and Rod Hatch of Edwards on Saturday.

Debra and Jim Darrah with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Orterry attended the church service and Valentine party held at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Galesburg where Debra’s Aunt Nova resides.

Kathleen and Lyle Worthington spent Saturday afternoon and evening in the Quad Cities with Kathleen’s sister Willa and Bill Jefferson of Denver, Mary Wurtzberger of Roseville and her brother Gene and Cathy Ewing of Rockford.

Pat and Mike Fredrickson had dinner Saturday evening with Carol and Rod LaGate of Galesburg at Gators in Burlington.

Irvin Galusha accompanied by his daughter and husband Cherry and Dave Simmons, granddaughter and husband Heather and Adam Oden and baby daughter of Stronghurst, and Marge Simmons of Monmouth had dinner at Big Muddy.

The Little Cedar congregation enjoyed special music “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” by the adult choir with Jean Cooper at the piano.

When people are serving, life is no longer meaningless.
