Bobby Schilling, Republican candidate for Congress in the Illinois 17th District, announced his second town hall in his "Solutions for the 17th" tour. The town hall will be held at the Illinois City Community Center, 23604 122nd Ave West, in Illinois City on Thursday, Sept, 2 at 7 p.m. Schilling is excited to meet with voters from the Illinois City area.

"The next stop on our 'Solutions for the 17th' town hall tour is Illinois City," Schilling said. "I look forward to discussing my vision for the 17th District and hearing directly from the people I will be representing next year. I believe a representative should hold town halls on a regular basis in order to stay in touch with his or her constituency. Rep. Hare has avoided this responsibility because he doesn't like 'hyper-partisan atmospheres.' That's disappointing, and the people of this district deserve better."

Schilling, a native of Rock Island, graduated from Alleman High School and attended Black Hawk College. Schilling, a local business owner, is the Republican candidate for the 17th Congressional District in Illinois. Bobby is running on a platform of bringing jobs and real representation back to the 17th District. Earlier this year, Schilling conducted a 34-city "Bob's for Jobs" tour, where he met with voters and employers all across the 17th District.
