Robert B. Dolan, 84, of New Windsor, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at Aledo Rehab and Healthcare Center in Aledo. Graveside services were 3:30 p.m. Sunday in New Windsor Cemetery. There was no visitation. Memorials may be left to Tri-County Ambulance. Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha was in charge of the arrangements. He was born Nov. 29, 1925 in Wataga, a son of Bernard and Dorthea Schwartz Dolan. He graduated from Woodhull High School and married Donna Shull Aug. 30, 1947. He was employed as a mechanic for John Deere, worked for Art Willems installing furnaces, and also helped many farmers with their work. He loved his moped, motorcycles and working as a mechanic.

Robert was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.

Survivors include four daughters, Debra (Alan) Stutzman of Fort White, Fla., Denise Dolan (Don Blake Smith) of Alpha, Dorann (Sam) Ericson of New Windsor and Darla (George) Seaberg of Viola; two sons, James Dolan and Thomas Dolan of New Windsor, 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret “Peg” Hamilton of Colorado and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Jeff, and his Uncle Floyd and Aunt Hazel Dolan Morgan, who raised him, their daughter Aileen Wenstrom and a brother-in-law, Robert.
