Melinda M. Wright
Melinda M. Wright, 36, of Alpha, died Sunday Nov. 21, 2010 at the Clarissa Cook Hospice in Bettendorf, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Woodhull. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha where a Rosary was be recited at 8 p.m. A memorial fund will be established. She was born Nov. 22, 1973 in Silvis, to Robert and Katharina Boddie Fox. She graduated from Moline High School and Blackhawk College. On Feb. 11, 1995 she was united in marriage to Michael W. Wright in Moline.
Melinda was employed as a secretary at All Feed Processing and Packaging in Alpha and was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Woodhull. She especially loved her family and enjoyed watching and cheering for her daughter at tumbling classes.
Survivors include her husband, Mike, three children Alyssa and Alex Wright and Christopher Fox, all at home; her mother Kathy Brook and a sister Chancie Running, both of Kankakee; Step-mother, Tracy Nissen of Coal Valley; grandparents Arthur and Sue Fox of Moline and Martha Swanson of Ruskin, Fla. and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father and her grandmother Dorothy Fox preceded her in death.
