Daniel Mueller

Daniel E. Mueller, 89, of Aledo, formerly of Taylor Ridge, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf, Iowa. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to Trinity Pathway Hospice. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan is assisting the family. Daniel was born Nov. 26, 1921 in Buffalo Prairie Township, the son of Frederick and Clara (Attig) Mueller. He married Gerda Ekstrom on April 8, 1945 in Moline. Daniel worked as an equipment operator for the Illinois Dept. of Transportation and farmed in the Buffalo Prairie area before until his retirement. Dan's memberships include Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gerda; children, Pamela (Ron) Hammitt, Taylor Ridge, Patricia Mueller, Moline, Daryl Mueller, Taylor Ridge, Debra (Avi) Adelman, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Wendy, Danny, Matthew, Simi, Shoshana and Shaina; great grandchildren, Taylor and Emma; and a brother, Elmer Mueller, Milan.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Shawn; three sisters and 11 brothers.
