 James A. McDonald, 69, of Benton, Ky., died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at his home in Benton,

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Memorial Services and Internment are to be held at a later date.

James was born in Aledo. He was a retired cement mason for the Tri City Cement Masons and Operating Plasters and Cement Masons Local 18 of Rock Island.

He was the son of the late Milton McDonald and the late G. Maxine (Humble) McDonald.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" (Cox) McDonald of Benton, Ky., a step-daughter, DeAnna Castillo and husband Roy of Oakdale, Neb., two step-sons, Randy L. Robertson and Craig S. Robertson both of Muscatine, Iowa, two grandsons, Jacob Scott Dusenberry of Wilton, Iowa and John Michael Robertson of Muscatine, Iowa, one great-grandson, Jordan Dusenberry of Wilton, Iowa.

Seven sisters; Virginia Lascelles and husband Tom of New Boston, Marilyn Nelson and husband Lloyd of New Boston, Kathleen Baker of Rock Island, Carol Fogelsong and companion Larry Morrissey of New Boston, Alice Cantrell of Aledo, Jody Whitlow of New Boston, Peggy Larson and husband Steve of Aledo, one brother, Marvin (Mick) McDonald and wife Debby of Aledo.

Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cheryl McDonald.
