Judy Lane Farwell

Judy Lane Farwell, 69, of South Korea, died Sunday, April 29 at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. A three-day Asian service was hosted by her daughter, Shanan Kim and her husband Dong Hyun Kim. Her body was cremated.

After teaching high school English for several years in the United States, Judy moved to South Korea and taught English at the Seoul Women’s College which was founded by the Presbyterian Church of Korea. She graduated from Sherrard High School and the University of Dubuque.

Judy was born March 28, 1944 in Aledo to Ralph and Ruth Farwell. They preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Shanan Kim, a sister, Janet Roberts (Mike) of Tulsa, Okla. and a brother Sheldon (Martha) of Illinois City, as well as several nieces and nephews.
