Mercer County Home & Community Education Association board members hold some of the many dresses that were sent to orphanages in Haiti.  They were made

by HCE and 4-H members. Dr. Larry Stewart of Muscatine, a recent volunteer

in a Haitian hospital, delivered them to 1995 Aledo grad, Jeff Duncan, who

is volunteering in 4 orphanages there.

MCHCE is celebrating their 95th annual meeting Thursday, May 24,

6 p.m., at Oakview Country Club. 1917 style clothing is optional for

members, but they are encouraged to bring memorabilia and photos of that

era.
