Learn about year-round gardening at Extension’s 4-Season Telenet, May 22 or 24

Spring is always a busy time in the garden. But what about Summer, Fall and Winter? Each season has its own beauty but what needs to be done year around to insure you have the garden/landscape of your dreams? Ron Wolford, Extension Urban Horticulture Educator will share tips and methods to help you create a seasonal garden in a program titled, “A Gardening Calendar”.  He will provide gentle reminders of what to do all year round.  It is presented as part of University of Illinois Extension’s Four Seasons Gardening Telenet Series which brings together some of Illinois' leading lawn and garden experts to present powerpoint programs using the teleconference system.  The programs are broadcast live at Extension offices throughout the state, giving attendees an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.  The program costs $5 per person ($3 for Illinois Master Gardeners).  It will be offered at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 22 at the following offices: Henry/Stark Extension 26234 Black Hawk Road, Galva, IL; Mercer County Extension, 2106 SE Third Street, Aledo, IL;  and Rock Island County Extension, 321 West 2nd Ave., Milan, IL.  An additional session will be offered at 7 pm on Thursday, May 24 at Rock Island County Extension.  To register call (309) 756-9978 or online athttp://web.extension.illinois.edu/hmrs
