Memorial Day weekend events open to the public

 Palmer Hills, an independent senior retirement community, welcomes the public to its free Memorial Day weekend events May 25-28.

Events include an ice cream sundae social on May 25 at 3 p.m., a flag ceremony and 21-gun salute with The Moline American Legion on May 26 at 1:45 p.m., a balloon release on May 27 at 1:45 p.m., and a Memorial Day BBQ on May 28 at 12:30 p.m.
