Richmond Hill Players’ next offering is Phil Olson’s comedy, “A Nice Family Gathering.” The show will be presented Thursdays through Sundays, November 8th through November 18th at the Barn Theater in Geneseo. Jennifer Kingry, Geneseo, directs the show.

It's Thanksgiving Day, the first family gathering at the Lundeen household since the patriarch died 10 months ago. But Dad has returned, seen only by one of his grown sons, and he is a ghost on a mission: to tell his wife he loved her, something he neglected to say during 35 years of marriage. But she can neither see nor hear him, and his resentful son is a reluctant messenger. The plot thickens when they realize Mom has invited Dad’s old golfing buddy to Thanksgiving dinner…as her date!

Please note that this production contains some adult humor and is suitable for ages 13 and up.

The cast features Andy Davis, Gregg Neuleib, Dana Skiles, Geneseo; Christopher Tracy, DeWitt; Justin Raver, Kewanee; Liz Blackwell, Coal Valley; and Dianna McKune, Cambridge.

The staff includes stage manager Eugenia Giebel, props crew Jan Andersen and Hillary Minnaert, tech director Jennifer Kingry and set builders Nathan Johnson, Mike Skiles, and John VanDeWoestyne, all of Geneseo.

Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the doors open at 6:30 pm with the show beginning at 7:30 pm. Sundays are 3 pm matinees with the doors opening at 2 pm. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling the Richmond Hill box office at 309-944-2244 or by visiting our website at
