Military Youth 6 weeks to 12 years invited to Operation Family Time Out March 9, 2013

Military children from 6 weeks through 12 years or 6th grade are welcome to attend a fun afternoon of free activities at Two Rivers YMCA in Moline on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Activities will include swimming, games, snacks and a 4-H activity. Pre-registration for this free program is required by Friday, March 1, 2013. Participants can register online at or call University of Illinois Extension at (309) 756-9978. Operation Family Time Out is organized locally by Operation Military Kids of the Greater Quad Cities.

Operation Family Time Out is offered the second Saturday of every month from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at a local YMCA (alternating between Two Rivers Y in Moline, IL and Scott County Family Y, locations in Bettendorf and Davenport, IA). The YMCA staff and staff from University of Illinois Extension 4-H and guest presenters from other agencies, provide an afternoon full of activities, use of the Y, a snack and lots of FUN with other military kids!

Operation Family Time Out is funded in 2013 by: Modern Woodnmen of America, Teens for Tomorrow, Rock Island Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers, U.S. Army Child, Youth & School Services, and Operation Military Kids.
