"Only God Could Write This Story"

The United Methodist Church is hosting a one day women's event entitled "The Journey: "Only God Could Write This Story," on Saturday April 13 at the church.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the event will last until 3 p.m.

Aletha Warner is the keynote speaker for the event.

Warner is a native of Liberia, West Africa and is a graduate of the University of Liberia with a double major in accounting and economics.

She is employed with the Illinois Department of Transportation and is the budgetary auditor for all of the state of Illinois Federal Road funds. She has held this position for 13 years.

She lives in Springfield and has two daughters Rhoda, 19, and Blessen, 10. She is an active mem- ber of the Kumler UMC in Springfield and is a certified Lay Speaker who occasionally preaches on Sunday mornings at her church.

She is engaged to Sylvester Weatherall, district superintendent of the Spoon River District of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Also speaking will be the following: Rachel Fowler, Joanne Harris, Rachel Fowler, Lori Boruff and Diane Eingstrom.

The registration dead- line is April 9.
