2012 Quad City Riverfront Council Certificate of Appreciation Recipients

As part of its missions, the Quad Cities Riverfront Council (QCRFC) provides an opportunity for coordination and communication of ideas among Quad City Region representatives including local and federal government, development and civic organizations, tourism, business, etc. In addition, members

exchange information on community planning, recreational amenities, industrial and commercial development and aesthetic enhancement of our region’s shorelines. The QCRFC annually recognizes important contributions to riverfront development. Individuals, organizations, or businesses may be

nominated for their involvement with projects that reflect long-term beneficial use and enhancement of our riverfronts.

The 2012 Certificate of Appreciation recipients include the following projects/organizations:

*The Cities of Bettendorf and Riverdale - extension of the Mississippi River Trail

*City of Davenport - Credit Island Mississippi River Trail Bridge

*City of Davenport and the Levee Commission - River Heritage Park at First Crossing and Veteran's Memorial Park

*Experience Quad Cities - Inaugural East West Riverfest

*Michael Arp - Inaugural Heartland Jam Music Festival

*Rock Island GROWTH - Jackson Square

*Rock Island GROWTH - McKesson Loft

*KONE Corporation - New corporate headquarters

*Mississippi River Distilling Company and Great River Brewery - Small business partnership

*River Gulf Grain Company - New riverfront barge terminal

*River Action - Upper Mississippi Riverfront Conference
