Obamacare a job killer?

EAST MOLINE, Ill.—Obamacare is set to kill an additional two million jobs according to a new report out from the Congressional Budget Office. The report predicts the economy, as a result of Obamacare, will have the equivalent of two million fewer full-time workers by 2017 with the impact mostly being felt by low-wage workers. This news comes following last month's startling revelation that an additional 535,000 eligible workers gave up searching for work and left the labor force, resulting in a 35 year labor force participation rate low of 62.8 percent.

Bobby Schilling (R-Colona), candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, released the following statement:

"It doesn't take an expert to realize that forcing small businesses to pay higher rates for insurance is going to kill jobs. It doesn't take a genius to realize that Obamacare is horrible for the middle class. Millions of Americans are losing their health care coverage, insurance premiums and deductibles are increasing across the board, and now Obamacare is set to kill an additional two million jobs. Congresswoman Bustos has done absolutely nothing to prevent Obamacare from devastating thousands of families in her district, and that is completely inexcusable. It's time for common sense leadership on this issue—President Obama and Cheri Bustos' attack on the middle class must be stopped before it's too late."

Key Questions for Congresswoman Cheri Bustos:

• What are you doing to create jobs and put people back to work?

• How do you react to Obamacare killing two million jobs? Is this acceptable to you?

• What is your plan to help middle class families struggling with more expensive insurance premiums and higher deductibles?

• Yes or no - if you had the chance, would you vote to pass Obamacare today?
