Mercer Livestock Judging Team Places Sixth Overall at National Western Stock Show, Denver
Out of 24 teams, the Mercer County 4-H Livestock Judging team placed sixth overall at the National Western Stock Show, in Denver, Colorado in January. Team members included Bernard Ausmus, Austin Hyett, A.J. Line, and Isaac Taber. The team’s coach is Al Hyett.
Team results included swine – 8th; sheep – 12th; goats – 4th; beef – 8th; placing – 8th and reasons – 9th. There were more than 120 youth who participated in the contest. Individual results were Isaac Taber – 13th; Austin Line – 28th; Austin Hyett – 31st. Unfortunately Bernard was unable to compete due to illness.
