Burlington Civic Music Presents California Guitar Trio + Montreal Guitar Trio, Thursday, March 20

Burlington, Iowa, March 2019, 2014 – Burlington Civic Music Association is proud to present California Guitar Trio + Montreal Guitar Trio as the sixth performance in its 2013-2014 season. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Burlington Memorial Auditorium, 200 Front Street, Burlington, Iowa. Doors to the concert area open at about 6:45 p.m.

California Guitar Trio + Montreal Guitar Trio brings six virtuoso guitarists representing four countries to Memorial Auditorium’s stage. They fuse more than 40 years of performing experience into one “phenomensemble.” Inspired by an impromptu studio session in Montreal, this pairing of a steel-stringed guitar trio and a nylon-stringed guitar trio blends on original compositions and new arrangements of progressive rock, world, jazz and classical music. Their performance is a rare opportunity to hear two superlative groups performing as one.

Civic Music Association’s next performance is The Voca People, 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Memorial Auditorium.
