DONATION FROM DILLARD’S HELPS FAMILIES STAY TOGETHER

Stores in Iowa, Illinois raise more than $4,900 for Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Another significant donation made by area Dillard’s department stores will help families stay together when children are in need of medical care.

Dillard’s stores in Coralville, Waterloo, Davenport and Moline jointly made a donation of $4,923 to the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City. The gift was made possible through sales of their Southern Living Christmas Cookbook during the holiday season.

Dillard’s representatives Bonnie Thoreson and Craig Gustaveson presented the check Monday to Kristin Roberts, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois.

Dillard’s, a long-time corporate partner of Ronald McDonald House Charities, has donated more than $11.4 million to RMHC chapters around the country, including more than $1 million this year. The four local stores have donated $52,830.61 in the past 16 years to support the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City.

“We are so thankful for the support Dillard’s has given us over the years,” Roberts said. “When you talk with the managers and the sales associates, you can really see they have a passion for our organization. We really appreciate them and the time they give.”
