Students raise money for St. Baldricks

On Wednesday March 12 at the Mercer County Junior High School's girls basketball game with Sherrard local students raised money for the St. Baldricks Foundation to fight childhood cancer. The entire event raised $1,440. This money goes to Josie Finch, a Mercer county eighth grader who will be shaving her head at the St. Baldricks event at Modern Woodman Park April 26.

Gavin King raised $405 in one and a half hours during the game and had his head shaved at half-time of the eighth grade game.
