HOW TO BE A HERO....

New Windsor’s Calvary Lutheran Church is sponsoring their annual Spring American Red Cross Blood Drive THURSDAY, APRIL 8, from 1 to 6:30 p.m. in the church basement.     

Walk Ins are welcome but scheduling an appointment would be appreciated.  Telephone volunteers will be calling previous donors, or you can simply phone the church:  Julie or Lynn (309) 667- 2415 or Carol 309 667-2442.    

Barbecue sandwiches  will be provided to all donors and volunteers in the canteen donated by the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Homes - Thanks to Scott Fippinger.    Also, New Windsor Depot  is providing a door prize.   

 Anyone 17 and older is eligible (16 year olds must have a parent’s consent and forms are available in advance);  donor cannot be on antibiotics and no recent tattoos    You are eligible if you haven’t donated since Feb. 11, 2014  or Double Red Cells since Dec. 17, 2013.   Double Red Cells machine will be available.        

There is such an urgent need for this precious gift - One unit provides 3 chances for life to someone somewhere. Give blood to the American Red Cross and be a HERO .  Remember - you’re not just giving blood, you’re giving life!!!
